Marie Asano

Marie Asano is a Partner at ECBF, where she leads investments with a focus on food technology, and nutrition. She combines a strong investment track record with a deep, pan-European network spanning venture capital and industry leaders.
Prior to joining ECBF, Marie served as Senior Investment Manager at High-Tech Gründerfonds, one of Europe's most active early-stage investors. There, she led investments and portfolio management across biotechnology, digital health, medtech, and advanced manufacturing, while also building and heading the fund's activities to increase investment in materials and chemistry.
Marie holds a PhD in Chemistry and an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs, bringing a combination of scientific depth, investment expertise, and industrial insight.
