Michael Brandkamp
Michael Brandkamp is a General Partner and one of the founders of the ECBF. He played a key role in establishing the fund's structure and advisory company, shaping its organization, brand, and communication strategy, and building the investment team. Michael brings more than 25 years of experience in building and managing venture capital funds, with a strong track record in fundraising, fund structuring, and exits. Prior to ECBF, he served as Managing Director at High-Tech Gründerfonds and tbg Technologie-Beteiligungsgesellschaft, where he led over 500 startup investments and nearly 100 exits, and previously held senior roles at KfW and tbg Technologie-Beteiligungsgesellschaft. He holds a PhD focused on technology-driven entrepreneurship and a degree in economics from the University of Bonn.
