He is actively involved across the investment lifecycle, including screening, due diligence, investment committee preparation, and portfolio value creation, with a particular focus on portfolio management. He has also worked on circular economy business models at VITO, supported climate finance access through a Green Climate Fund toolkit under the FAO, and gained early industry exposure through roles in recycling and industrial operations. Mridul holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Gandhinagar, and two MSc degrees spanning sustainable natural resource management and environmental policy from universities across Europe. His work sits at the intersection of climate, science, and scalable business models, with a strong interest in transforming agri food systems and bio based materials.
I care about ECBF's work because I have seen how much waste and emissions are baked into the way we produce, move, and consume food, even when everyone in the system has good intentions. What motivates me is backing founders who can make food systems measurably more resource efficient, from ingredients to processing to supply chains, while still winning on cost and quality. For me, this is climate impact at scale that people adopt naturally, simply by choosing better food.
