Stéphane Roussel
Stéphane Roussel is a Partner at ECBF. He brings more than 15 years of experience in venture capital, corporate venturing, and business incubation, alongside 15 years of prior industry experience in the advanced materials and chemicals sector.
At ECBF, he played a key role in the fundraising of ECBF Fund I and led the build-up of the fund's AgTech portfolio. Prior to joining ECBF, Stéphane founded and led Solvay Ventures, where he managed €80 million in assets, built and scaled a high-performing venture team, and oversaw investments across multiple funds and technology-driven startups, with a strong focus on sustainable materials and chemicals.
Earlier in his career, he held senior corporate strategy and business development roles at Rhodia and Solvay. Stéphane combines deep industrial expertise with a proven track record in venture investing and value creation, and he serves on the boards of several technology companies.
